Gather and talk about educating ourselves to take control of our Type 2 Diabetes or to lose weight and maintain weight loss through low carb eating and exercise. Share recipes, ideas, and discuss ways to make your food choices healthier. Help to support and motivate each other in making the right food choices to maintain healthy blood glucose levels. Share your knowledge and experience with other members. There have been lots of informative books and studies on the topic of low carbohydrate diets and Type 2 diabetes; let's get together and discuss and share reading lists. The most important missions of this meetup group are education, support, and control. Educate ourselves; support each other; take control of our diabetes or obesity now so it doesn't control us!

      I have been told by Dr. that I am pre-diabetic. Dr. put me on Metformin twice a day. I am also aprox. 40lbs overweight.
